Wax Removal

Hearing Assessments need the ear canals to be clear and free of wax. Micro suction ear wax removal is a treatment procedure that enables efficient removal of wax buildup without conventional messy syringe treatments. A small steel instrument attached to a suction tip is inserted directly into the ear canal that vacuums the wax out.

How to prepare for the appointment ?

Use wax softening agent as recommended by your GP or use an eyedropper to apply a few drops of baby oil, mineral oil, or olive oil for 2-3 days before the appointment. This softens the wax and enables the audiologist to remove the wax more efficiently.
